How to check a training provider's licence in the UAE

Every emirate licenses training differently. Here is what to look for before you pay for a course.

A licence tells you that an education authority has approved a provider for a specific kind of training. It does not cover everything the provider might advertise.

Find the licensing authority

Training centres are licensed by the education authority of the emirate they operate in. A centre in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi answer to different authorities.

On PrepCo, every provider profile names its authority and licence number.

Check the scope

The scope says which subjects the provider may teach. A centre licensed for language teaching should not sell an accounting diploma.

PrepCo only lists courses that fall inside the scope of the provider's licence.
